When Innovation Meets Sports

Japan is renowned for its industrial innovation and technological advancements, with its citizens both young and old being acclaimed innovators world over. In a development that proves this assertion to be true, young baseball volunteer coach, Mr. Ayumu Murata borrowed a leaf from his Japanese Heritage to design a baseball batting cage net that replicates state-of-the-art cage nets used back in his home country. The nets will be instrumental in helping develop and improve local baseball players in Gweru.

The volunteer’s innovativeness is a marvel, and it is encouraging to note that he has shared the idea of making makeshift baseball practice nets with locals in Zimbabwe and this will go a long way in developing the sport of baseball in the country.
