2026.03.19

JICA had the pleasure of exhibiting at the Emperor’s Birthday Reception held on 11th of March, a beautiful celebration filled with culture, connection and collaboration. At the start of the reception, a musician Ms. Prudence Katomeni Mbofana, who once studied music under a JICA volunteer, sang the national anthem of Zimbabwe, and music JICA volunteer Ms. Mei Joichi sang the national anthem of Japan. Their beautiful voices captivated the guests. Alongside enjoying delicious Japanese cuisine and experiencing cultural elements such as judo demonstrations and exhibits from Japanese companies, JICA staff and volunteers also took time to network with representatives from a wide range of sectors, including education, sports, culture, agriculture and health. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase JICA’s ongoing work and build meaningful relationships that may lead to future collaborations.
