Previous Experiences
I started my development career of more than 15 years as a JOCV in Honduras, South America. Then having acquired a graduate degree, I worked for six years at a Japanese NGO implementing public health activities in different developing countries. Other experiences of mine include three-year service as a UN Volunteer in Cambodia and working with UNICEF in Mexico.
It was all these experiences in maternal and child health projects of developing countries that brought me to JICA Bangladesh in 2004. Being Project Formulation Advisor on health, the position of mine back then, enabled me to network with various stakeholders in the health sector in this country.

What makes me happy at work

I really enjoy my current work as I have great interest in and passion about maternal and child health. Also, being able to learn a lot about life, culture, humanity and myself through the work makes me happy.
