I, Dr. M Tajul Islam is a public health professional with more than 20 years experience in the areas of reproductive health, primary health care, HIV/AIDS, and child survival as a service provider, program manager, trainer and researcher. I have worked in a number of UN (WHO, UNICEF and UNFPA) and International Organizations (ICDDR,B, FHI, MOST and Save the Children-USA) in different capacities, and was responsible for project planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation. I have implemented, coordinated, monitored and evaluated the maternal health projects of UNICEF and WHO, and provided technical support to UNFPA’s country program, country program action plan and implementation of the reproductive health program. I have coordinated and implemented the national and international training programs and HIV/AIDS program of ICDDR,B. I have more than six years experience in providing PHC services in the rural areas of Bangladesh and abroad. I am also a physician with post-graduation in Tropical Medicine (DTM&H, MSc) and Public Health (MPH).
