Progress of Activities
2nd:Counterpart training in Japan(extension): Mr. Lhap Dorji, 4 Extension Agent and 1 Farmers' group leader departed to Japan to attend 6 weeks training course on agriculture extension and rural development. They will visit Rural Women Empowerment and Life Improvement Association in Tokyo, Oyama Terrace Paddy Preservation Association in Chiba, Hokkaido prefecture office, Takikawa city and JA Takikawa in Hokkaido.
2nd:Hands-on Training(rice): Nursery and transplant were demonstrated to 50 farmers at demonstration paddy in Hurungpam, Mongar geog
6th:Field: Rice transplanting was demonstrated to 20 farmers at demonstration paddy in Thimyul, Gangzur geog, Lhuentse.
16th:School Agriculture Program(Bucket Rice Cultivation): Rice transplant practice in RC Wengkhar
19th:Annual RNR meeting(Lhuentse): 5 days meeting was started. The project shared the experience and information.
20th:Field: Transplant in demonstration paddy in Thridanbi, Saling geog, Mongar.
27th:Annual RNR meeting(Mongar): On the last day of 3 days meeting, issues were discussed sector-wise. Activities of the project were also discussed and confirmed.
30th:Visitor: Mr. Fujii, Resident Representative of JICA India Office visited the project site and RC Wengkhar.
