Sub-district Level Financial Management Training
Following the bank transfer of the block grant for Cycle 3 to Sub-district and Village PHCI Teams in late July, District Implementation Teams organized a total of 13 Sub-district level Financial Management Workshops in 11 Sub-districts of three target districts as shown in the table below. JICA Team visited and observed 6 workshops out of 13.

Note: Yellow parts are where JICA Team visited.
From each Sub-district/Village PHCI Team, four persons are invited to this workshop, and District Implementation Team, Health Center (Puskesmas) staff who received TOT in May 2009, and Field Consultants became the moderators for this training. As the contents of the training is described below, the focus is to share experiences among the participants who implemented PHCI activities in the past 1-2 years, and discuss how to improve their performance among themselves. Especially in Bulukumba District, the Health Center staff (some of whom are PHCI Team members) were very active and instrumental in organizing this training, so it seemed that they gained good confidence in organizing this kind of training through TOT.

Major Contents of Financial Management Training:
- Experience sharing, questions and answers, and discussion on accountability and transparency of activities
- Importance of recording daily transation in Cash Book (since some PHCI Teams did not record it)
- Experience sharing, questions and answers, and discussion on Financial Report
- Experience sharing, questions and answers, and discussion on Activity Report
