Section for "Existing data on watershed conservation" opened on our Web Page

Our Project had collected "existing data on watershed conservation" primarily from material prepared in Panama and Central and South America, and has used them as a reference for our activities. There is a variety of material in support of watershed conservation activities and we have now converted this material in PDF format and present it to our readers for their benefit.

At the top of the web page under the heading "Existing data on watershed conservation" are the four following categories: "Available Guidelines and Manuals on environment-friendly production and conservation techniques", "Available Guidelines and Manuals on tools of participatory development", "Available Materials of Environmental Education for school students", and "Available Materials of Awareness Creation for farmers." The material in each respective category can be found in PDF format. (Not all the material has been changed to PDF yet, but we are continuing with the work. Also, we plan to add newly collected material as well.)

We hope that this material can be useful to the work of our readers involved in similar activities. If any of the material is to be quoted in other locations please be certain to indicate the author, the source and other relevant data with the quote. (Each PDF data includes a page with the pertinent data.)

(Mr. Isao SAKAI, Chief Advisor / Rural Development)
