We have updated the section “Existing Data on Watershed Conservation”

The Project has collected publications related to watershed conservation from within Panama and from the Central and South American region to use as references for Project activities. This data was converted to PDF format and uploaded to this web site.

Recently, we added more material that had been collected and also made into PDF files. (There are now a total of 158 texts that are available.) To access the material, on the Project’s homepage enter the section titled, “Existing Data on Watershed Conservation”. The following 4 sections will appear: Table 1: “Available Guidelines and Manuals on environment-friendly production and conservation techniques (54 material); Table 2: “Available Guidelines and Manuals on tools for participatory development (19 material)”; Table 3: “Available Materials of Environmental Education for school students (52 material)”; Table 4: “Available Materials for Awareness Creation in farmers (33 material).” (There are 8 texts, which we have not yet finished converting to PDF.) The resolution of some of the images is low, but this is due to restrictions in the amount of public data that can be displayed on the homepage of technical cooperation projects. Please bear with us on this point.

We plan to continue gathering related material. We hope that it can serve as an aid to those who are carrying out similar activities. In the case of using this material, please be sure to include the information on the author and original source of the quoted material. (The PDF files all have a page with the pertinent information.)

(Mr. Isao SAKAI, Chief Advisor / Rural Development)
