Among the Project's object communities, there are some that can be reached only by going through some bad roads. The Santa Librada community is one of them. One day, when returning from the community, our truck got stuck in the mud halfway up a hill. But thanks to the winch on the truck, we could pull ourselves out. March is in the dry season and the roads are normally dry this time of year. This year we had a lot of rain so there were still some muddy spots in the road. We don't use the winch often, but it is attached to the front of the vehicles as a good security measure. (All photos are from March 10, 2009)
