1st Technical Committee meeting

According to the JSCoT Project activities it is stated that project has to develop the training materials and train the instructors and counterpart officers in various aspects. Therefore Mr. Koji Ueda the short- term expert arrived in Colombo on the 1st of May 2006 to deliver the training in “Instruction Methods”.

During Mr. Ueda’s stay in Sri Lanka, he has conducted the below mentioned programs for counterpart officers and instructors attached to the Technical Colleges.

1.Five weeks training program on Progressive Training System for Instructors (PROTS), Training within Industry (TWI) and 5 S for the counterpart officers already attached to JSCoT Project.

2.Five days workshop on PROTS and 5S for the counterpart officers to be assigned to JSCoT Project.

3.Two days Seminar on PROTS and 5S for the instructors who participated from 27 Technical Colleges.

After analyzing the questionnaires which were given to every participant of those programs, it is proved all programs were highly successful.

Certificate Awarding Ceremony was held on 27th June 2006 at the auditorium of the Department of Technical Education & Training.
