In the afternoon session, the head of the each group presented their summary on the discussions as follows.

1.Summary of the Mechatronics Group by Mr. J.Ariyasinghe
There are some mismatches between skills standards and curriculum outline and some description contents are neither clear nor sufficient. Then the members suggested adding some extra subject matters to the basic modules. Further they suggested a bridging program be designed for those who enter from the industry. Finally they proposed that the entry qualifications for those who are from the industry be considered as G.C.E. O’Level.

2.Summary of the Metal Work Group by Mr. Leelaratne
It was revealed that they found the allocated training hours of some modules are not sufficient. Therefore it was suggested a comprehensive production project be included in the curriculum. They also suggested applying gauging equipment for metal cutting.

3.Summary of the ICT Group by Mr. A.M.G.Seneviratne
It was revealed that they need to merge modules No 5 & 6, No 14 & 15 and No 16 & 20 as they are already covered or overlapped each other and the contents are same. Then they suggested rearranging the module numbers starting from simple to complex.

Finally the vote of thank was done by Mr. N.R.R.K.Wijenayake, the Principal, Maradana College of Technology.
