During his stay in Japan on home leave in September 2006, Mr. Y. He met Ms.Guruge (IT) and Messrs. Rathnaweera ( Mechatronics) and Kulatunga (Welding) as well as teachers who teach them. He was briefed on the progress of training, their living conditions and had visits to workshops and classrooms in the Center and College. “I hope they felt relaxed and were encouraged by my visits”, Mr. Umimae said and it was proved by the e-mails which I received from our counterpart officers in Japan.
Later on Sunday, they had a tour to the downtown Tokyo-Asakusa and Tokyo Tower, in which Mr. Umimae and Ms. Ranjanie, IT counterpart officer studying in the JICA group training at Polytechnic University of EHDO, Sagamihara, joined together.
