Photo

At the invitation of Mr. S.P. Ariyadasa, Principal of Bandarawela Technical College, Mr. Y. Umimae, (Chief Advisor JSCoT Project), Mr. Nishimi (Expert – Mechatronics) and I went to participate in the opening ceremony of the new Shrine Room of the College on 04th October 2006.

The College is located 200km East of Colombo in Uva province it takes 6 hrs by car.

We first participated in the procession of carrying the Buddha statue to the College. There was a whole night (Pirith) chanting on the same day and placement of Buddha statue in the Shrine Room, revealing the pinnacle and offering the first set of flowers to the Buddha in the early morning of the following day.
