Officials of Colombo Dockyard visited JSCoT Project
On the 24th of August 2007, Mr. S. Tatebe, the Chairman of Colombo Dock Yard Limited visited JSCoT Project with his Technical Advisor Mr. S. Yamashita.
On behalf of the Japanese experts and staff concerned, Mr. Umimae, the Chief Advisor of the JSCoT Project welcomed them and briefly explained the current progress of the project.
They visited the Metal Work, Mechatronics and IT Labs. They were highly satisfied and showed their keen interest in the welding section, in particular. The counterpart officers of the welding section explained how they train the students by using the modern machines and what technical components they impart to the students.
Mr. Umimae and Mr. Goonewardena thanked them and requested to keep a close collaboration each other.
