Mr. Kitagawa, short-term expert in Mechatronics who assigned to the JSCoT project from 16th July to 30th August 2007, reported, at his presentation, that the following major activities have been done during his stay:

1.Implementation of short-term PLC seminar for instructors of other technical colleges was completed under his advice and instructions,

2.Teaching material development like a pick and place robot and PLC microcontroller training kit assembled by the counterpart officers under his guidance,

3.Introduced a PLC simulator, software with 3D animations of PLC functions.

And as suggestion Mr. Kitagawa proposed, among other topics:

- To combine Modules M27–M32 as a finial project of students as it is very difficult to practice them as individual units.

Mr. Wijenayake, Director CoT, appreciated Mr. Kitagawa's work and Mr. Umimae, Chief Advisor, JSCoT project, recommended the suggestion made by Mr. Kitagawa for further considerations. Finally Mr. Ratneweera, Course Coordinator, delivered the Vote of thanks.
