To give basic knowledge and skills on "Sequential Relay Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)", Mechatronics counterpart officers in the JSCoT project have launched a series of short term courses for instructors of other technical colleges under the accumulated Know- how dissemination program.

The 1st course was held on the 18th to 20th of August 2007 at the Mechatronics laboratory of the project and twelve instructors participated. The course focused on the practice in relay control system and PLC programming.

At the end of the course we realized that this program was highly successful and it was proved through their answers to the questionnaire supplied by the Mechatronics section.

The short-term Expert in Mechatronics, Mr. Kitagawa said, "This short Know-how dissemination program is a small step in Mechatronics field and may be a big step for Sri Lanka as far as the Mechatronics industry concerned in Sri Lanka."

At the closing ceremony, Mr. Umimae, the Chief Advisor and Mr. Wijenayake, the Project Manager of the Project, thanked all the participants for their attendance as well as the instructors who made this event a success, working as a team.
