PLC Short Course for Instructors

Mechatronics counterpart officers in the JSCoT Project conducted their 2nd group of training on "Sequential Relay Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)" for instructors of other technical colleges under the accumulated Know-how dissemination program.

This three day training program was held on the 10th, 11th and 12th of October, 2007 and 13 instructors participated.

At the end of this three day program we realized that they were satisfied and this short course was successful according to their answers to the questionnaire supplied by the Mechatronics section.

At the closing ceremony, Mr. Wijenayake, the Executive Director of SLCoT requested the participants to disseminate this know how to the students of their colleges. The Chief Advisor of JSCoT Project, Mr. Umimae thanked all the participants and the JSCoT staff concerned who worked hard and made this event a success and expressed a hope that they could attend the next course.

Mr. Premartne, one of the participants from Kuliyapitiya, at his speech said, "I really thank the Japanese and Sri Lankan partners who organized the program to update our knowledge and skills and we would like to request them to arrange advanced programs, as we are eagerly waiting for joining them in near future." Mr. Anasly, another participant from Ratnapura, said, "I have 22 years of experience as an electrical instructor. During my carrier I have participated in so many training programs. But I would like to admire that this three day program is the most effective training which I participated."

Mr. Ariyasinghe, the Head of the Level 5 & 6 courses of JSCoT Project, made the vote of thanks.
