The 3rd Group of training on "Sequential Relay Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) " for instructors of other Technical Colleges was conducted by the counterpart officers of the Mechatronics section of the JSCoT Project on 05th , 06th and 7th of November 2007 under the accumulated know-how dissemination program.

Nineteen electrical instructors participated in this three day training program representing various Technical Colleges all over the island.

The results of the assessment proved that this short course was very successful.

Mr. S. Hemachadra, the electrical instructor of Technical College, Galle, in his speech at the closing ceremony said, "This is a very successful course which was designed for three days with a maximum outcome. I request the organizer to make arrangements to give us an advanced training as soon as possible before forgetting the fundamentals or basics studied in this course."

Mr. Wijenayake, Executive Director of SLCoT at his speech said, "At this closing ceremony, as a senior officer, I should request all the participants to update your skills and knowledge as much as possible to help develop your student's skills and knowledge." On behalf of the JSCoT Project, the Coordinator, Mr. Takahashi, at his speech said, "Technology is rapidly changing day by day. Therefore refreshing the Knowledge is a must. We have planned to arrange more facilities through this Project for Robotics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics and SCADA from next year."

The Course Coordinator of the Mechatronics section, Mr. Ratneweera disclosed that the feedback of the participants of those three courses was very positive and remarkable. "I must thank the Japanese Government for the support that they gave through JICA–JSCoT Project, by providing such high-tech equipment to the College. I am very much confident that these courses were very successful because we gave individual attention to each and every participant by providing them with individual equipment and training aids to get hands-on experience", he emphasized.

Finally Mr. Ariyasinghe, the Head of Level 5 & 6 Courses, gave the vote of thanks.
