On the 29th & 30th of November 2007, we launched an awareness program by visiting Technical Colleges in Zone 01 to give the publicity on the enrollment of students in Sri Lanka College of Technology (SLCoT) for National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) Level 5 courses in the fields of Welding, IT and Mechatronics.

The Chief Advisor, Mr. Umimae, Executive Director, Mr. Wijenayake, Coordinator
Mr. Goonawardena, Head of level 5 & 6 courses, Mr. Ariyasinghe and counterpart officers of relevent fields participated as small groups in these visits. We visited the Technical Colleges in Ratnapura, Embilipitiya, Rathmalana, Kalutara, Homagama, Wariyapola, Kuliyapitiya, Gampaha, Warakapola and Kegalle.

While distributing handbills we did our awareness program through power point presentation as well as Q & A session. The student showed their interest in our courses and their responses were very positive.

We take this opportunity to thank Principals, staff members concerned and students of each Technical College to make these programs a success. We hope in year 2008 the number of applicants will be higher than year 2007.
