A new Team of Experts arrived to Sri Lanka to Carryout duties related to the latter half of the Japan Sri Lanka College of Technology Project.(JSCOT)

On the 2nd of July 2008, Mr.Kishimoto Takaomi the new chief Advisor (Successor to Mr.Yoshiaki Umimae), Mr.Saito Hiroshi, the Project Coordinator (Successor to Mr.Atsushi Takahashi ) Mr.Hiramatsu Kenji, the Long Term Expert of Mechatronics and Mr.Cabral Indika, the Program Officer of JICA.Sri Lanka Visited the Department of Technical Education and Training (DTET) to pay the courtessy call to Dr.H.L Obeyesekera, the Director General of DTET as well as the Project Director of JSCOT Project.

Dr.Obeysekara warmly welcomed the team and briefly explained about the New National Vocational Qualification System (NVQ) of Sri Lanka.Then they visited the project site and met Mr. Ariyasinghe, Head of Modal Courses Mr.N.Ratneweera course Coordinator of Mechatronics Section, Mr.K.K.H. Kulathunga ,Course Coordinator of Welding Section ,and Mr.A.M.G.Seneviratne Course Coordinator of ICT Section.After visiting the Labs, Classrooms and work shops there was a small discussion with Counterpart Officers in JSCOT Project.
