SHORT TERM WORKSHOP ON NETWORK ADMINISTRATION FOR TECHNICAL COLLEGE STAFF

On the 20th & 21st September 2008, the Counterpart Officers of JSCoT Project have conducted a two day workshop on "Net Work Administration for Technical College Staff" under the know how dissemination Program of JSCoT Project, in collaboration with JICA, JOCV Mr.M Furukawa, with the assistance of Mr.Y.Morimoto, Ms.K.Morimoto, Ms.S.Tsuchiya(JICA, JOCV)and Mr.M.R.B.Gamage, (Instructor – ICT, Matara Technical College)Mr.Wasantha Daundasekera, Mr.A.M.G.Senevirathna (Counterpart Officers JSCoT Project)
The Purpose of this workshop is to improve about windows net work knowledge of Instructors and to manage computer lab and classes more effectively through networking.
It has been reported that contents like Network Setting, set up work group, user management, File Sharing and Restrictions, Domain Network, User Management and Group Policy have been covered through this two days workshop.
Through the analysis of the questionnaire it has been found Participants were more satisfied with the training program.Also they have requested Network Administration (Linux) and Network Hardware, to be added for future training Programs.
