JSCoT Project has Completed its Promotional Video

JSCOT project has successfully completed its first promotional videos to aware general public, industrialists and vocational and technical professionals in Sri Lanka. The promotional videos are on the developments, its unique importance, and the technical details of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) course, Mechatronics Course and Metalwork Technology Course as the first NVQ 5 & 6 courses of Sri Lanka as models.

Promotional video development was a consultation process with course coordinators, HODs and other counterpart officers of the JSCOT project and finally Director General of the DTET has approved by DVD style for the distribution. Development of promotional video was technically supervised by Mr. Samantha S. Pathiratne with the management direction from Acting Chief Advisor Mr. Hiroshi Saito of JSCOT project. In addition Project Coordinating Manager and other consultants of the JSCOT project also played a significant role in this regard.

Learning Resource Development Center (LRDC) of the University of Vocational Technology (UNIVOTEC) undertook the production task of promotional video development. The following are the available versions of the promotional videos by DVD media.

  • ICT Course
  • Mechatronics Course
  • Metalwork Technology Course
  • Public version (3 courses together)
  • Industry version (3 courses together)

The above DVDs are available in Sinhala, Tamil and English languages.

JSCOT project has already scheduled the coping and distribution of the promotional video among industrialists and other relevant organizations and individuals.

In coming future beta version of the promotional video will be promoted among media organizations in a press conference. Further, appropriate internet support version of the video will be uploaded in suitable web sites for the easy access to these who are in remote and regional areas.
