「DOKAP-TARIM Spot News」 was issued.

The Seminar 2B (Appraisal course) was held for 21 agricultural engineers from the 6 provinces at the Project Office in Trabzon in 5 days from May 25 to 29, 2009. The main subjects of the seminar were lectures and practices of Rural Appraisal by village workshop and questionnaire survey for the preparation of the next extension projects by the participants. For those subjects, the methodologies and experiences for the model projects were explained in detail. Then, the participants formulated 6 provincial groups, and prepared questionnaire, observed workshop in a village, made interview survey to farmers, prepared short reports, and made presentation. As for supporting knowledge, the Project Team provided lectures on typical tools of Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) and marketing information and strategy. Furthermore, Deputy Director of Soil and Water Research Institute in Samsun gave a lecture on "Soil Survey".
