In order to understand nurses' training needs, nursing supervisors at divisional health offices are expected to provide supervision and coaching (S&C) to community health nurses in the project. This year, the national IST coordinator having experience in the previous project in Fiji played a major role in conducting training of trainers (TOT) to divisional in-service training coordinators and divisional health sisters who were in a position to oversee the performance of the nursing supervisors. Those health sisters and IST coordinators participating in the TOT will, in turn, conduct S&C training in the target areas of the project; namely the eastern, western and the northern divisions in Fiji.
