The Impact Study on the project consists of three surveys namely, Baseline, Mid-term and End-line surveys to investigate the effectiveness, efficiency and impact of the project. The Baseline Survey was conducted from November 2010 to March 2011 as a means to identify the actual needs of nurses in Fiji. In total, 94 Community Health Nurses and 24 Nursing Supervisors have been interviewed in all four divisions in Fiji to collect information such as current situation of Supervision and Coaching (S&C) and In-Service Training (IST), and satisfaction with their working environment. The impact of the JICA's technical cooperation project, "The Need-Based In-Service Training (NB-IST) for Community Health Services Nurses (2003-2007)" was also analyzed.
