Project News

On the 26th and 27th May, 2011, a workshop among project working group members was held in Nuku'alofa, Tonga. The project working group has been the implementation body of the project since the project in Tonga started in February 2011.In addition to the initial members, this time we accepted two new members from non-pilot areas; namely Eua and Ha'apai districts. The involvement of these districts is highly essential for the project to establish a national system of the NB-IST while measuring its effects in pilot areas. As results of the meeting, (1) the final draft of "Competency based Appraisal for Registered Nursing Practice" was completed, and (2) a draft of its assessment tool was developed. The development of the assessment tool will be continued in the following workshop.
