Every year, sometime between March and May, all Reproductive Health Nurses (RHNs) and their supervisors in Tonga; approximately 60 in total, come to Tonagatapu to review reproductive health related activities and to produce each islands' plan of action for the following year. It's a 5-day workshop funded by the UNFPA. The workshop is called "Review and Planning Workshop in Reproductive Health and Immunization Service". This year, the workshop was held from 23 April to 28 April. Two officers from the UNFPA Fiji office visited Tonga to facilitate the workshop along with the Director of Nursing Service. In the workshop, the monitoring results were reported from 4 islands and based on these results the next year plan was formulated. In addition, there were several guest speakers from the Viola Hospital, NGOs, and other organizations to discuss and advocate new issues related to reproductive health. Informative discussion was carried out throughout the workshop.
