All the supervisors in the targeted four zones and three senior nurses including senior midwives and nurse practitioners in Shefa province received the training on S&C operation from 21May to 23 May 2012. Ten nurses in-charge in Vila Central Hospital also participated as observers. In addition to working group members for S&C, instructors at nursing schools also became trainers. Contents of the training include: roles and responsibility of nursing supervisors, competency assessment, coaching skills, supportive supervision, and explanation of S&C tools and reporting forms.
