After all supervisors received S&C training in Fiji, the project has started carrying out a Post Training Supervisory Visit (PTSV) as a follow-up activity. The main purpose of the PTSV is to see the effectiveness of S&C training and to improve supervisors' skills through the on-the-job-training when divisional nursing supervisors visit nurses in their division, along with the divisional IST coordinator. The project team visited kadavu island; the 4th largest island of Fiji, in June 2012. As this island has no adequate infrastructure, the team had to visit 6 health centers by boat. Moreover, due to bad weather we could not access to two health centers in Kadavu. Despite the severe surrounding environment, only one nurse continues to provide healthcare services in the entire community.
