<Vanuatu> Training on the Competency Standard and Competency Assessment for Nursing Supervisors (3-4 Oct Malampa, Oct 4-5 Penama, 18-19 Oct Shefa (2))
From April to October 2012, the Ministry of Health (MOH), Vanuatu Nursing Council (VNC), Vanuatu College of Nursing Education (VCNE) conducted training sessions on the Nursing Competency Standard and Nursing Competency Assessment with the support by the project. The training was conducted in each province targeting nursing supervisors. In Shefa province; the pilot province of the project, registered nurses were also included in the training. In total, 130 nursing supervisors and 74 registered nurses participated in the training and increased knowledge of the concept as well as method for assessing their own competence.
