Details of PEEQ are Being Planed

The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), the executing body of the project, demonstrates strong ownership for the project. A workshop was held on 21st and 22nd October, and related 27 members of the project participated. In order to conduct the project jointly, the participants revisited the whole picture of the PEEQ and discussed its implementation structure. Three subcommittees were established with responsibility of access, quality, and monitoring/evaluation in the workshop. Each subcommittee formulated operational plans respectively. The proposed plans are to be summarized into a Reference Framework (Draft) and feedback from local governments, such as AREF and Delegations, as well as central government officers concerned will be invited to the draft plan. After the Reference Framework has officially approved in the Joint Coordination Committee, the substantial activities of PEEQ will be take place.

Meanwhile, the PEEQ team investigated the feasibility of conducting impact evaluation, with the support of Evaluation Department of JICA. From the study, the team found that the impact of the project can be rigorously measured by utilizing the existing Moroccan system, namely ‘MASAR’ (‘Progress’ in Arabic) Database which contains every student's information such as test score.
