This exhibit partially re-creates a typical immigrant home.
In the countries they migrated to, immigrants retained their Japanese traditions but also gradually adopted the lifestyle of their new homes. They did the same thing in their eating habits. You can see this mixing of cultures at this immigrant dining table, featuring both Japanese and local dishes.
