Emergency Assistance to Northern Afghanistan in Response to Earthquake Disaster
The Japan International Cooperation Agency will provide emergency relief goods as below in response to the [name of disaster] disaster, upon the request from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
１．Disaster situation
Earthquake, which occurred on 2 November, has caused serious human and property damage. According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the damage situation as of 4 November was as follows:
- Deaths 20
- Injured 945
- Collapsed houses 90
２．Goods supplied
（１）Emergency relief goods (from the JICA warehouse in Dubai)
- Blankets
- Sleeping pads
（２）Shipping schedule
The goods will be transported from the JICA warehouse in Dubai to Kabul on the next available flight.
