JICA President Tanaka Met with World Bank Group President Banga

On January 22, JICA President Tanaka Akihiko met with World Bank Group President Ajay Banga in Tokyo.
President Tanaka and President Banga discussed the annual high-level dialogue between JICA and the World Bank Group known as “Deep Dive,” and confirmed that they would strengthen the collaboration between the two organizations, particularly in private-sector finance and global health. They also exchanged views on the joint efforts toward food security in Africa and the reconstruction of Ukraine and Gaza.
The two parties then confirmed their intention for further JICA-World Bank Group cooperation in Southeast Asia and South Asia.
