JICA President Tanaka Visited Indonesia

JICA President Tanaka Akihiko participated in a delegation of the Japan-Indonesia Association to the Republic of Indonesia, where he met for talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto along with members of the delegation at the Presidential Palace on December 5.
During the meeting, President Prabowo outlined his key policies, and JICA President Tanaka discussed JICA's ongoing efforts in Indonesia, referring to specific initiatives in irrigation and fisheries as well as the promotion of projects in collaboration with the private sector. The two parties also exchanged views concerning future cooperation.
Separately from the above-mentioned delegation, President Tanaka also met with Minister for Manpower Yassierli. During the meeting, Minister Yassierli explained the Indonesian government’s labor policy, overseas placement, and vocational training, while President Tanaka highlighted ongoing initiatives, including the dispatch of JICA experts, and discussed the direction of future cooperation.
