JICA Executive Senior Vice President Miyazaki Met with Vice President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia Choquehuanca

On April 23, JICA Executive Senior Vice President Miyazaki Katsura met with Vice President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia David Choquehuanca Cespedes at JICA headquarters in Tokyo.
At the outset, Executive Senior Vice President Miyazaki congratulated Bolivia on its 200th anniversary of independence. She also expressed her hope that Bolivia's allure will gain global recognition following the National Day event held on April 21 at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
In response, Vice President Choquehuanca expressed his gratitude for JICA's longstanding cooperation in Bolivia and conveyed his desire to further deepen cooperation between the two countries.
Furthermore, both parties exchanged views on the damage caused by large-scale flooding affecting Bolivia since this January, environmental conservation measures in the Amazon region, and other issues.
