JICA Executive Senior Vice President Miyazaki Met with Prime Minister of Tanzania Majaliwa

On May 28, JICA Executive Senior Vice President Miyazaki Katsura met with Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania Majaliwa Kassim Majaliwa in Tokyo.
At the outset, Executive Senior Vice President Miyazaki congratulated the Tanzania National Day event and the Tanzania Business, Investment and Tourism Forum, both held at EXPO 2025, Osaka, Kansai, Japan. She also expressed her expectation for advancing collaboration between the two countries through contributing to TICAD9 (the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development).
In response, Prime Minister Majaliwa expressed his gratitude for JICA's long-term cooperation in Tanzania and conveyed his desire to further deepen ties between the two countries.
Both parties further exchanged views on approaches to tackle future development challenges in such areas as agriculture, industry and infrastructure, as well as investment opportunities in Tanzania for Japanese companies.
