JICA President Tanaka Met with Prime Minister of Montenegro Spajić

On May 30, JICA President Tanaka Akihiko met with Prime Minister of Montenegro Milojko Spajić at JICA headquarters.
At the outset, Prime Minister Spajić expressed his gratitude for JICA's continued cooperation in Montenegro and his desire to further deepen collaboration between the two countries.
In response, President Tanaka expressed JICA’s continued commitment to supporting the economic growth and development of Montenegro. Regarding the tourism sector, which is one of the pillars of JICA’s cooperation with Montenegro, he also stated his hope that Montenegro’s allure will gain global recognition following the National Day event held on May 26 at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
Both parties further exchanged views on prospects and challenges regarding the accession of Montenegro to the European Union.
