JICA President Tanaka Met with President of Kosovo Osmani

On June 13, JICA President Tanaka Akihiko met with President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu of the Republic of Kosovo at JICA headquarters.
At the outset, President Osmani expressed her gratitude for JICA's ongoing cooperation with Kosovo and stated her desire for expanding future collaboration across various fields.
In response, President Tanaka reaffirmed JICA’s continued commitment to assisting the socio-economic reforms in Kosovo, particularly as the country eyes accession to the European Union. He also emphasized that sustainable development, which Kosovo prioritizes, is crucial for the peace and stability of the world, and that JICA would continue to adopt sustainable development and human security as guiding principles for its cooperation with Kosovo.
Both parties also exchanged views on priority challenges to be addressed in Kosovo.
