JICA President Tanaka Met with King of Lesotho Letsie III

On July 4, JICA President Tanaka Akihiko met with H.M. Letsie III, King of the Kingdom of Lesotho at JICA headquarters in Tokyo.
At the outset, King Letsie III expressed his gratitude for JICA's continued cooperation in Lesotho.
In response, President Tanaka outlined JICA’s projects in the fields of education and energy in Lesotho. He also expressed his hope for further cooperation with the country’s development in the context of the upcoming 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) this summer.
Both parties further exchanged views on a wide range of topics, including the field of renewable energy.
