JICA President Tanaka Met with GCF Executive Director Duarte

On August 26, JICA President Tanaka Akihiko met with Green Climate Fund (GCF) Executive Director Mafalda Duarte at JICA headquarters in Tokyo.
President Tanaka and Ms. Duarte exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between GCF and JICA to address climate change, in relation to the Exchange of Letters between GCF and JICA at a thematic event of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9).
Both parties acknowledged that they would promote further cooperation between GCF and JICA, including the formulation of GCF funded projects.
