JICA President Tanaka Met with King Abdullah II of Jordan

On Nov. 10, JICA President Tanaka Akihiko met with His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Tokyo.
At the opening of the meeting, King Abdullah II expressed his appreciation for JICA’s cooperation in Jordan. The two sides then exchanged views on current situations in the Middle East and Japan’s future cooperation to Jordan.
King Abdullah II also expressed his expectations for JICA’s support in the water desalination project and collaboration in humanitarian assistance for Gaza and Syria.
Both parties also expressed their shared hope to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries, taking into account evolving situations in the Middle East.
