On July 1, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a loan agreement with the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco in Rabat to provide a Japanese ODA loan of up to 22,000 million yen for the Development Policy Loan for the Improvement of Learning Environment of Basic Education.
With regional bodies and schools in Morocco experiencing a lack of resources and know-hows for practicing effective school management, the objective of the program loan is to improve the learning environment of basic education through development-policy support. Such improvement will help promote the economic stabilization and development efforts of Morocco. This program loan will contribute to the achievement of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) Goals 4 (Quality education) and 10 (Reduced inequalities).
