Signing of Grant Agreement with the Republic of Mozambique: Improving Quality and Accessibility of Maternal Health Care by Constructing Neonatal Wards

On September 8, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of the Republic of Mozambique in Maputo to provide grant aid of up to 2,987 million yen for the Project for Construction of Neonatal Facilities at Maputo Central Hospital.
Under this project, neonatal care in Maputo Central Hospital, which is the core hospital located in the capital city of Mozambique, will be improved through the construction of new buildings and the installation of the necessary facilities and equipment, thereby contributing to the improved quality and accessibility of maternal and child health services in Mozambique. This project will contribute to the achievement of SDGs Goal 3 (Good health and well-being).
