On September 10, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed an investment agreement with Openspace Ventures IV, L.P. through Private Sector Investment Finance scheme.

Project Purpose
This project aims to improve access to finance for start-up companies by investing in a fund that invests in start-up companies in Southeast Asia region, thereby contributing to the development and expansion of start-up companies in the region.

Project Component
This project provides capital to Southeast Asian startups engaged in innovative businesses and support to strengthen their management capabilities through Openspace Ventures IV, L.P., a fund managed by Openspace Ventures Pte. Ltd., a Southeast Asia focused venture capital firm investing in tech companies in the region and backed by many institutional investors. Co-headquartered in Singapore and Indonesia, Openspace also has offices in Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand, and a presence in Malaysia. With a Portfolio Success team and on-the-ground coverage, its professionals partner with portfolio companies to build viable and responsible business-to-business(B2B) and business-to-consumers(B2C) businesses in Southeast Asia.
