On November 29, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in Nouakchott to provide grant aid for the Project for the Construction of a Fishery Research Vessel.

Additionally, for the detailed design of the project, JICA already signed an agreement to provide grant aid of up to 52 million yen in September 2023.
