On May 9, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of the Republic of Palau in Koror State, to support the Project for the Improvement of Water Supply System in Koror and Airai States.

This project aims to reduce non-revenue water and improve the management capacity of water supply system by renewal of aging water distribution pipes and installation of smart meters in Koror and Airai States, thereby contributing to ensuring the water supply system resilient to severe droughts caused by climate change.

2,546 million Japanese Yen
