On August 1, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) held a signing ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam for a loan agreement with Thu Dau Mot Water Joint Stock Company (TDM) under the Private Sector Investment Finance scheme. The loan is co-financed with Asian Development Bank (ADB).

4. Project Purpose
The objective of the Project is to contribute to the improvement of the urban sanitation environment and sustainable economic growth in Bau Bang Hamlet, Ho Chi Minh City by expanding water treatment plant facilities.
5. Project Component
The Project provides loans to finance the upgradation of the Bau Bang Water Supply System through the construction of a new water treatment plant with capacity of 50,000 m3/day and a pipeline to the water treatment plant.
