On August 1, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) held a signing ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam for a loan agreement with Thu Dau Mot Water Joint Stock Company (TDM) under the Private Sector Investment Finance scheme. The loan is co-financed with Asian Development Bank (ADB).

4. Project Purpose
The objective of the Project is to ​contribute to the improvement of the urban sanitation environment and sustainable economic growth in Bau Bang Hamlet, Ho Chi Minh City by ​expanding water treatment plant facilities​.

5. Project Component
The Project provides loans to finance the upgradation of the Bau Bang Water Supply System through the construction of a new water treatment plant with capacity of 50,000 m3​/day and a pipeline to the water treatment plant.
