QUEST the JICA Co-creation and Innovation Program “QUEST” Launch Event (Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka)!

The launch event for the JICA Co-creation and Innovation Program “QUEST” was held in March 2026. The event took place at three venues—Nagoya (9th / STATION Ai), Fukuoka (16th / FUKUOKA ONE BLDG.), and Tokyo (30th / Tokyo Innovation Base)—and was attended by over 400 participants in person and online.
During the launch events, JICA presented the challenges associated with the co-creation themes, the objectives for the Proof of Concept (PoC) experiments, and the requirements for co-creation partners. In the roundtable sessions held in the latter half of the events, lively discussions took place for each theme, with active exchanges and debates continuing regarding the potential for co-creation.
We are currently open for idea submissions. In addition to the co-creation themes presented by JICA, applications are also welcome to submit proposals based on themes of their own choosing. Please review the application guidelines below, and we look forward to receiving proposals from as many of you as possible (Deadline: May 31).
What is “QUEST2026”?
The QUEST program aims to create innovative co-creation projects that contribute to solving challenges in developing countries, in collaboration with various stakeholders, including private companies, academia, public institutions, and civil society. To generate greater development outcomes together with you, JICA will present co-creation themes—specifically those development challenges in developing countries for which we particularly welcome your proposals—and invite you to submit your co-creation ideas. In addition to the JICA co-creation themes, applicants are also welcome to submit proposals based on themes of their own choosing.
