Dispatch of the Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) Expert Team (3rd Batch) in response to the oil spill off the coast of Mauritius

Following the decision by the Government of Japan, the Japan International Cooperation Agency will dispatch the 3rd batch of the JDR Expert Team to the Republic of Mauritius in response to the oil spill from a bulk carrier "WAKASHIO".

The team composed of 6 members including 4 environment experts will leave Japan on September 2nd to undertake on-site environment assistance activities.

[Reference]
The second JDR Expert Team left Japan on August 19th and has been engaged in on-site environmental assistance activities.
